KCC Unicorn Contest officially closed the application and technical access on April 17th,2022, and entered the phase of data competition. It is reported that 114 projects have applied for the KCC Unicorn Contest, and about 50% of them have completed their deployment on KCC.
KCC Unicorn Contest is not only the first action of the $500 Million Ecosystem Accelerator Plan but also KCC’s first incentive plan in 2022. It aims to discover elite projects from multiple streams and channels to boost the on-chain ecosystem. Also, the contest itself provides generous financial support that the Top 1 Unicorn project will receive the highest $300,000 cash prize and various support from KCC GoDAO, such as marketing resources, incubation & investment, potential listing on KuCoin Exchange, and many other opportunities.
Sam, the Head of Community Operations at KCC said:
“As a businessman myself, I know how difficult it is to build startup projects. That is why we keep focusing on discovering and incentivizing the projects with potential. KCC Unicorn Contest is the first step towards this direction. We are optimistic that the contest can quickly fill the vacancy of certain areas on-chain, and help us to discover some incredible projects to grow along with the KCC ecosystem, which in other words, the KCC Unicorn”.
The KCC Unicorn Data Competition starts from April 18th to May 7th. On May 12, KCC GoDAO will announce the Top 10 projects and winning projects on independent/individual awards. At the same time, from May 13th to May 17th, GoDAO will initiate several community voting proposals on snapshot.org. The KCC community will play an instrumental role in picking out the Top 5 projects as well as a couple of independent/individual award winners. KCC will release a series of events to encourage users to experience KCC Unicorn Projects, and hence users will know more about the contesting projects.
